I am looking to sell a guitar that I thought I would never sell!  It's my OM-03MT that was "painted" by Peter Cree or Cree Studios with an impressionistic rendering of a macro photograph of a Napoleon Wrasse.  This is not only the best sounding Larrivee that I have ever owned, but a valuable work of art as well.  I commissioned Peter to do the work for me about 2 years ago and it took nearly a year to complete.  The painstaking process of applying by brush small amounts of nitrocellulose lacquer, sanding, painting, sanding, etc. until the finished product was complete took nearly 100 hours at a cost of $3,000 for the work.  I have a passion for art and music, which was fused into this beautiful instrument.  The brightness of the blues and greens is remarkable in person, and on parts of the top the natural mahogany can be seen through the "painting".  I call it a painting, but to be correct the finish is a highly superior musical instrument finish than what is used on most modern guitars.  The finish is only a few microns thick and the grain of the wood can be seen slightly at an angle when held to the light, even under the shiny clear coat of nitro over the painting.  The sound of this 'hog top is significantly improved over the stock guitar with an open, airy and woody voice that excels for modern fingerstyle playing.  If you like the sound Nick Drake pulled out of his Mahogany Guild M-30, then you'll love this guitar.

There are minor imperfections in the finish that are the product of the thousands of brushstrokes underneath the clear coat.  This is a result of the medium used to make the guitar look and sound so stunning.  I would not be selling this instrument if it was not for needing the cash to purchase a new guitar, and with business the way it is today and the needs of my family, I only use funds from previous purchases to pay for "my habit" so-to-speak.  I have over $4,000 in it and am looking for $1800.00 firm.  I would sell it for much more at a gallery, but to the forum for a quick sale I am asking a very good price so serious offers only please and no trades.  If it doesn't sell, I will be happy that I don't have to part with it! So that's the story...Have a look at the pictures and PM me with any questions, further pictures, specs., etc.  The condition is perfect with only slight play and fret wear.  It's setup and condition are as near perfect as you can get for an acoustic.  Enjoy!

Here's one next to my Brozman Baritone, the big brother :)

You can see how the finish has become deeper in color and depth as the nitro has had time to adequately cure.  Pictures just don't do it justice!

I didn't see this coming.  I thought you'd never part with it after all the work and waiting done with this guitar.

jwb is a great guy to deal with and is honest and straight forward.  I would highly recommend him as a seller as I bought a great 12 string from him with nothing but good memories.

Good luck with the sale.  :nice guitar:

Whew...I had a change of heart recently and a had long hard look at what is truly important in life.  I don't need another guitar right now, but I do want one.  I decided to use the money I have saved up to do something special for my wife who deserves it BIG TIME.  So, I keep the Cree guitar, and may my joy be complete!

Cheers,

Justin
