it's an OM-01 model (one of the few remaining-Larrivee isn't producing them any more!!!). It has a 1 3/4 nut, Sitka soundboard, Mahogony back and sides, LR Baggs I Beam Active pickup, and a hardcase. I've received an offer on my dorm hall for $475...make a winning offer in the next week. no guarantees.

here's pics!

With Full respect, I'd say $475 is a resonable deal. Especially if you don't have to worry about shipping and ebay fee. See if your dormmate will take $550. If not $450 is probably more than what most dealers will give you on a trade in.

thanks SongMan...<sheeew> finally, a positive remark about my offer.  B)

Brad,

It is tough to tell a guy who paid a lot for a guitar a short time ago that he is not going to get nearly enough for it. You want to let him know what a realistic expectation would be but you don't want to tell him in a way that really ticks him off either. I would counter with $500-550 and take the $475 if he doesn't bite. Thanks for not taking too much offense at our comments. We really were trying to help you.

I have a suggestion for a guitar for you. I know you said you wanted to get rosewood for the bass and rumble but there is a J-05 with an I-beam on Ebay right now. It's an older one without the abalone rosette or the silver headstock border but it has been professionally used.

A J will give you tons of bass and the mahogany will give you a very pleasant balanced tone. Eventually, I would love to find a 12 in this combination but not for awhile.

Good luck.
Don

I agree with Don that J-05 is a great guitar. HOwever from my understanding, You will play 99% of the time at home. I figure mostly sitting down. I am not  sure how big of a guy you are but L body will better suit most players when playing at home.

would anybody give me 500 (plus shipping) for this OM-01? :D

bfulton,
Please don't be offended, but guitar forums are a great place for us all to share information. I have a lot of friends here on the forum and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that in the last year I purchased an L-01 and an OM-01 for $500 each (new). I'm not saying you're asking too much as the 01s are without a doubt worth $500. Add to that the fact that they're scarce, maybe it's worth it.

Oops, I just saw you had an ibeam too. In that case not too bad a price then.

Tom, he also has a hardshell case, and an offer for $475, as well as a yen for an L-03R.

Didn't you say you were offereed $475 from a friend? If that's the case, Why not take it and avoid having to pack, ship, and wait?

ok...here's the truth. my friend is waivering back and forth between a seagull guitar and my guitar...the seagull (S6) is a mid-line laminated guitar and mines wood. he'd pay full price on this one new and mines stinkin' 60% off!! so...i'm waiting to see what the Lord has in store.

all that said...the deal with my friend is not final...so please consider (all you deal seakers out there) taking this deal for yourselves! i'm wanting only 475 plus shipping costs.

i have pics on the forum under OM-01. please help :(
