Here's some more.

The back on mine looks like 1 piece.

Here is mine while on the bench getting tuners put on by Ed. From some angles you see the grain stripes, from others its just white, also there is nice silking in it but the satin finish hides that a little.
I also think the H-bone looks nice on the trim of the body. I don't think I can resist glossing this one up.

I just took some new pics outside and I will post one here and the rest in pictures.

Gorgeous guitar.  Great pics.  Love the angles on that last one

You mentioned Dan that it looked like the back was one piece.  For these smaller guitars do we know if the tops and backs are one or two pieces?

It is 2 pieces, I'll post a pic to show the back in better light.

There is a neat ripple in the grain near the upper bout, I like that character.

This one looked nice from earlier today. I did strum some with a medium pick but my action is too low. I think I'll put in a bone saddle now.

The backs are definitely two pieces, but on some, like mine and Danny's, it's very hard to find the seam.

I'd love to order a Larrivee mahogany Uke one day.. :)

It is great to see what  a luthier sees on his tour.

I was blown away by the racks of cases.

Glad Jim's daughter could make into the photos.  Both she and Jim are top notch!

   Thanks Zohn;
I posted this in another topic and then realized some of you may want to read this here.

" The bone saddle in my F-III that I put in a few days ago made the action even a little lower. So now when I strum I get this really cool "slapping"of the lower strings into the frets. I know that most wouldn't want that, but with the IS top it's a bright, crisp, percussive sound and it adds to the song like a tambourine would. It's not a "buzz" like would develop on my OM-21 or the 00-09FM or any sitka spruce. The IS makes for a new experience for me to explore.
I'll carefully make a taller bone saddle and swap them out from time to time so I can mess around with that percussive stuff, that was an unexpected pleasant surprise, like having two gits in one."

Thanks so much for the great pics and stories from your trip.  Sounds like the Forum III is very special, and all of you had a blast!

Only a matter of time now!

I have a new puppy, she's a cowdog, an Aussie blue heeler named Bandit. I play my F-III and she gets real peaceful.
I put this pic in "Got dogs" but I thought someone may want to see it here.

Cute dog danny, and what better way to repay tuffy for stealing your forum III hat than giving his to the puppy :humour:
