Can anyone tell me if the full size Pure Western will work in athe AJ500? Thanks.

Get the mini.  K&K now recommends the mni for all guitars.  They have boosted the output of the mini and it gives a more balanced sound. Go to K&K's store on Ebay and look for seconds. they are guaranteed and excellent values.
