This guitar is sold, sorry I didn't follow up and post.   Shame on you for making me look at these pics again.  I always miss em once they're gone.  <snif, snif>

Beautiful Larrivee C-09  for sale!!
This   12 year old Canadian built Larrivee is a bit different than the newer C-09's.   This one has a narrow nut like a dreadnaught 1 11/16 rather than the usual 1 3/4 nut.  It also has rosewood binding instead of maple,  a factory installed under saddle pickup, and a gloss finish neck.
Over all it's in very very good condition with two exceptions.  There's a 2 inch finish crack on the bass side of the lower bout and a ding on the edge of the florentine cutaway.  The finish crack, which only shows itself under certain light conditions, hasn't changed in the three years I've owned this guitar.  Otherwise there are no scratches or scars to be found.  The tuners are original and work fine.  There is a small amount of fret wear on the 2nd and 3rd frets.
A bone saddle was fitted and a complete setup done at J.Thomas Davis guitars in Columbus, Ohio.  This is an outstanding luthier shop and their work is top notch!   Current string set is light gauge. The action measures 6/64th on the low E at the 12th fret and 5/64th on the high E.  The neck plays very well everywhere.  Barre chords are easy and sound clean.
The original case is in very good condition.  The old style truss rod wrench, unique to older Larrivee's in also included.
The price of $1050 includes shipping to the lower 48 states.  Money order or bank check preferred.  Paypal ok if you cover the fees.
Email or pm me with any questions.
Thanks!!!
Mark

And now for some pics.....

Hi Mark,
just curious, why are you selling it?
I would be all over this one if I hadn't gotten an L10 recently. I really like the C style but couldn't find one at the time.
It's very pretty.

Larrivee C09

Hi Penny,
I bought this particular C-09 because of the narrow nut.  My previous Larrivee was a L-09 that had a rather chunky neck and I was in need of something smaller for drop D tuning.  I've since purchased a Larrivee OM03-MT that does everything very well and my ears have developed a preference for the mahogany tone.  I can feel a case of sellers remorse coming on already as I would love to keep the C-09 but I need to free up some cash so I can't do a trade.
I got to hear someone else who's quite good play this C-09 and was surprised at the volume and projection heard from several feet away.  Whoever buys it will be very happy.

Thanks!
Mark

BTW turns out I know Todd, who you bought it from!

Larrivee C09

Yes, that's Todd.  I don't recall his last name but yes that's him.  The C-09 was exactly as he described when I bought it.  The saddle was Tusq and had a wooden shim under it.  I wanted to eliminate the shim and upgrade to bone.  I've done this with all my acoustic guitars and always find it beneficial to the tone and sustain.  It plays and sounds better than when I got it due to the setup done by a professional luthier shop.  Check their website just for fun.
http://www.jthomasdavis.com/home.html  These guys are the best.  The first time I had them work on a guitar of mine and got to see and hear the results first hand, I understood the value of a quality setup.  Every guitar I've bought since goes in for a complete setup.
As I mentioned earlier,  I bought this guitar when I was playing a lot with drop D tuning.  I had trouble reaching over to the low D string with my pinky on certain chords with my old L-09.  This guitar solved that problem for me.
I was also missing the Larrivee sound since I'd been without the L-09 for a little while.
If you've played a dreadnaught Larrivee, you have a pretty good idea how the neck on this C-09 feels.
Let me know if you have any other questions

Thanks,
Mark

Mark- PMing again....

Larrivee C09

Hi.  First post on the forum, but long time Larrivee owner.  Very interested in your C-09 as my C-09e was severely damaged at my last gig on Sunday (big crack in the top) that really has me in a big funk.

Sounds setup well and in good condition.  Is the guitar still for sale?
