yeah; it's a beautiful guitar, really. I'm laughing because whenever I read the word "flabbergasting" (which, admittedly isn't all that often) my brain hears Daffy Duck saying it.
it just cracks me up.

The tone is great - that's the main reason I bought it.  I haven't played any other Parlors so I can't really compare the tone of this wood.  This guitar has a strong fundamental tone, also strong in the lower harmonics, but not so much in the higher harmonics (not "shimmery").  I like to call it a very round tone, but I'm not sure if others can picture that. Maybe this will help...

It's a sound like you're driving down the highway, with the top down.  The radio's broken, but it's OK, cause you've got the wind in your hair, the rolling hills of central Wisconsin under you're wheels, and the girl named Paula on your mind.  It's a sound like you just woke up on an Autumn Sunday morning and you realize that the time changed last night and you have a whole extra hour in your day.  It's a sound like the "thwipp" of the longbow and the cedar shaft driving into the bullseye.  It's a sound like a thousand genuine hello's, or one really good "I love you".
