I just  got an Om-03 Walnut and all I can say is WOW  :nanadance :nana_guitar. This is really a unique tone. Any other fans out there?

I LOVE the sound of walnut! The walnut/spruce acoustic guitars I've played had a sort of organ-like tone...only way I can describe it...and TONS of sustain. Seems to live somewhere in the vicinity of koa or maple, but with a warmer, rounder timbre to the lows. Plus...it looks and smells stunning.

I have a custom-made strat-style electric with a walnut body/maple board that rings like a bell when played unplugged; it translates to a really unique tone when plugged in. :nana_guitar

Love the sound of Walnut myself but I can't even have one in the house. I have a son who's allergic to walnuts and our allergist has advised against me even having the wood in the house because of the way he's reacted to the proteins in walnuts.
It's killin' me because I've played a couple of walnut guitars that I consider exceptional.

I've had the chance to try a couple of the walnut L-03s that are around right now and they are sweet!  Tons of bass and sustain but not so much of the overtones you'd hear with rosewood.  Great guitars.
