So what does Ignored by Forum Member mean? Cannot be a good thing!!!!
Happened to click for the 1st time on my own profile and see that I am ignored by 2 members - was a little taken aback by this as was not sure what it meant and never considered ignoring anyone , would have no idea how to do so anyway.
Took a quick look at the Forum Rules BUT could not find any info on "The Ignore"
Wondered why two members have listed me as an "ignore" caused me to question - did I offend them? I sincerely hope not, if I did, I apologize now as was never my intention. If it was because of a stupid response or thread topic I started well I yam what I yam and not much I can do about that.
Will this post cause further ignores Hmmmmmmmm????

Why someone ignores someone else who knows.I know I've ticked off my share of formites and other people.I can't think of why but it happens and its no big deal.Take it as crap happens and continue to be who you are and have fun. :gotdonuts:

Let's see.... there are currently 8,043 members so if only two members have felt moved to officially ignore your posts I wouldn't worry too much about it. That's a statistically insignificant number. After all, the vast majority of us look forward to hearing what's on your mind.
I am also ignored by 2 people. I am waiting until it gets to 5 before I unleash the funniest forum post in Internet history.

Seriously, don't worry, their loss. I am sure there are plenty of people in the real world who prefer to ignore me, doesn't do any harm does it. 2 people on here means 8000 odd people happy to read your posts. Pretty decent balance if you ask me.
I was happy when I finally saw a couple of ignored by digits in place in my stats. Don't worry about it and keep enjoying the forum.

I beleive you are mistaken. Everyone likes a bit of controversy. What I guess leads people to hit the ignore button is rudeness, or overpostibg, or just being downright boring. It us probably a complement not to be ignored.

I more or less but mostly more know why I'm being ignored.Wont get into it but I will say that being ignored brings a tear of pride to my eye's. :winkin:
As I have not ignored anyone here (I am still relatively new :winkin:) I am not sure why any of the ignored people are ignored. That said I suppose I could see myself ignoring someone if all they posted was either negative or confrontational to me. I don't think it should be surprising that with so many members that one member would chose to ignore another forumite. (Maybe this will gain me a coveted "Ignore" :laughin:) Most forums I am on do not "make public" when you are ignored.
I will be honest and say there are three people in my many years on the TGF/AGF that are on my ignore list. I just am not interested in what they have to say. All three IMHO are just there to troll, argue, and berate others. I have never had a confrontation with any of the three. I have no issue with debate but am here to learn and enjoy. I look at the internet as a place to de-stress not add stress. :smile: Just Sayin'....

I checked into my profile the other day to find I had joined the "Ignore" club. No biggy. Maybe it was my youtube fart... :whistling: I annoy far more people in real life than here, so I think Im doing well ! :cheers

Why thanks Scott. I find that, in type at least, a lot of people just don't know how to take me and there aren't enough emoticons for the job. It's a rough and tumbly world where I grew up and everyone had to keep their head up. Hockey rules! :beer

Duck, my wife recently got into a SMS scrap with one of her friends over a miss interpretation of a message. I finally convinced her to call a speak to her over the phone and it was sorted out very quickly. Mood and intent are sometimes lost in text.

I don't understand the whole ignoring thing. I mean if you don't want to read some members posts can't you just skim over them, is it necessary to let them know someone is ignoring them. It must give the ignorer some false sense of power.
I used to read all posts in all threads. It took to much of my time so now I just read threads that interest me or pull me in with the subject line. Some threads just rehash over topics that have been beat to death. If I see some newbie has a question and no one has responded I will answer even if the question has been answered 100 times before because I know most newbies are not going to use the search function, plus I have used the search myself and couldn't find what I knew was there. :yawn all right I'm boring myself now. I guess I'll go see how that ignore option works and see if I can ignore myself. :arrow

I don't ignore anyone but I've thought about it. Sometimes not so easy to skip over. Kinda like catching a glimpse of a bad car wreck. But when I thought about it, it was to protect me from myself. See it's not the post that would worry me, but how I might reply!

regardless public forums with world wide access sorta means not everybody is gonna think or believe the same things.
The list of famous, creative & inventive people who were snubbed, disliked and ridiculed by many is a long list.

I ignore anyone who has made a disagreement, whether with me or someone else, personal. That is, instead of addressing the merits of an opinion or comment, turning that dislike of an opinion or comment into an insult of the person expressing the opinion or comment. I come from a background where I learned to hit back twice as hard but since that is not allowed by forum rules, I use the ignore button. :beer

I'll start.Over the last 10 years I've been running my shop out of my home,Sold all but 7 guitars out of the 280 guitars that was my retirement.Became the front of house for band,put together a duo.Had a run of health issue's but to date still alive and fairly well and living in the state of confusion {Florida}.Been through a few hurricane's.Thats it so far.Still ignored by 12 :nanadance :nanadance :nanadance :nanadance :nanadance :nanadance .
