yeah. make sure you get the ones that have the screw holes off to the side.
The standard 510's drop right in, not the deltas.
The large 'Schaller type' also drop right in if you don't like the look of the 510s.

You can take a look at these Gotoh catalog pages if you like. Notice the offset on the set screw. You will need one that is 11 mm from the shaft centerline at a 45 degree angle from the base. Or, take a look at your pings and you can see where the location is...

Steve:
Would it be appropriate to post these tuner pages from Dale somewhere permanently on the forum so everyone can have access to them? There have been so many questions about drop in replacement tuners for Larrivee guitars over the years. . .
Thanks for looking after the forum.
Whiskey
If you would like to have these permanently posted, PM me with an email address and I can email the original scans to whoever would like to put together the sticky. The pics I posted were of the 510 series. I have scanned in the open back tuner options as well as the three post classical tuner heads.
For that matter, anyone wanting these can email me as well.
I think it'd be a good idea but, Steve, the Forum Administrator has to make those kinds of decisions. Send him a PM with the pages you think might be appropriate.
Thanks guys for all of your help!!
Does anyone know where I can find these for a good price? LMII has them for ouchywahwah expensive.
They ain't cheap but they are very nice. In my book...well worth the expense. LMII is where I got my last set. Not a bad price.
I bought the all black ones for my D-09. They dropped right in. I recall paying about $45-50 at StewMac. They took about 15 minutes to switch out. It was that easy...

They are a Gotoh dealer, but (more importantly) carry 126 different machine head tuners. However, 126 is just the number of different models of tuners, not styles of tuners. For instance, in the Gotoh 510 series he has 5 different posts, 7 different buttons, and 12 different finishes. So, in just the Gotoh 510 series you might have up to 420 different combinations. He admittedly does not carry all of them in stock, but he does have proper representation of the popular combinations from all 126 different tuners and will order anything he does not carry that is available.
He was the one who faxed me the schematics for different tuners in the series that I was looking at so I could measure them up for fit. I really appreciated the time he took with me on the telephone and I'm convinced his customer service is above par. He sent me the catalog that I scanned, and I'm forwarding the scans to Steve so Steve can put them on the server and sticky some links for everyone.
East 7's is not too far away from where I live, perfect, I should call him up and ask for a replacement that I can get for my Yamaha LL16 (one sweet sweet guitar by the way, I just dont think the tuner complements the guitar well).
Here are the links to the scanned Gotoh catalog pages that Dale_I provided.

Thank you Dale & Steve.. This will be an excellent reference for anyone who does a search for "tuners" on the forum. :thumb
Just want to say thanks to Dale for all the info and help.
Scott at Domo International was great to deal with, I got some bigger pdf's from him and figured out what I wanted. I got a set of Silver 18:1 510's and a set of delta 21:1 gold gotohs. One week later, I had my tuners. Great prices to boot! +1 to them!
Now to see if they actually fit in my Larrivee, haha.

I just dropped in a set of 510s into my MT and really like them...smooth accurate and classy looking....the only thing I'm not that sure of is the shape of the tuner buttons.....would it be possible to put the buttons from my stock ping tuners onto the Gotoh machines? can I do that while the strings are under tension?
anyway...so far so good!!!
(thanks kdonovan... :thumbsup)
:cheers

HI, I have the same problem. My tuner on the G string died on me . I need to replace the tuners. Are you guys talking about Gotoh Standard, Midsize or mini 510?
Which one will drop right in? I live in Taiwan and would be orderging from Steward MacDonald. Just want to make sure.
I have a headstock inlay on the front and hope I don't need to modifiy.
A 2003 OMV-10E if anyone know the correct dimensions for replacing the tuners on this model.
Also, would a Waverly open back tuner fit ? Really like the look of those.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Edward, these are the offset tuners but have the delta 21:1 mission the center screw is a different part number, LMI puts a SC on the end Domo uses a Z. Thanks for the heads up though, with the 45% angle these should drop in. This is the detail I sent to Domo.

:thumb Thank you Michael T.
Very helpful . Thanks for taking the time!
I am really sorry if this is a pathetic question, but I am getting very confused by part numbers. Is anyone able to confirm (with a yes or no answer!) whether these are the right drop in replacements for my OM-03. The part numbers never seem to tally with those on the American sites. They look the same to me.

Thank you - if they are right this would be a useful post for UK based Larry owners.
bump for this question, I really want to order these, and hoped someone would be able to confirm that they are the right ones before I part with the cash. I'll delete this post off the tech forum after, and amend the previous one to inform UK members who might be looking for same thing.
Many thanks
Ben

I put the 510 21:1 Contours in my D05. I'm loving them. Got them from LMII and yes they are pricey but well worth it.
Thank you
Just reviewing some old posts and found that the Gotoh 1951 tuners are also direct drop-in replacements for the stock Pings.
Not as stylish as the 510', but less money and per the posts I read, better tuners than the Pings.
Try a search for 'gotoh 1951', to find those posts.

Are these the standard "Schaller-style" Gotoh tuners that Guitar Center and other such places carry?

Yes.
I use the "shaller style" gotoh's.
Gotoh also has a web site where the scanned images were taken from (I believe):
