Some folks around here know I've been around the block a couple times- with respect to how long I've been with the brand etc.

I gave a 1989 larrivee RS4 away the other night.
More on that later.( with pics)- so stay tuned kids.

I own the first steel string guitar Jean ever made, that was built for a fiend of mine- in 1971.
Personally, Jean built a guitar for me in 1972, when he used to bring his guitars up, 2 at a time, in his car- to Montreal from Toronto in1972, when I was working at Rufus Guitar shop on Sherbrooke st.

the 1971 guitar I am referring to- i saved from a campfire Nova Scotia several years ago.
I was told it once belonged to.. lets say "bob s".

it was beat to crap, and arrived in a cardboard box, no case, with a huge crack along it's side.

I spent half a year carefully rebuilding this old gal, and when I finally strung it up, it just sang.

I reached out to "Bob s" and said , "hey I have your original Larrivee, that Jean built JUST fir you- way back in 1971 ( 50 years ago!).

meh, says Bob, I have another Larrivee now, I'm happy.

Heck even the folks at Brand headquarters weren't interested...

I still got it, i still play it.

story # 2 following.
"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

Great campfire save!  Do you still have your '72?

well there are a couple good things about getting old, and being in the music biz for over 50 years.

the stories are the magic pieces.

I used to sing a beautiful song by John Sebastian called " "all the stores we could tell".
