A couple more new moon wood/walnut OM-40's have made out into the wild. Here are the backs. Nice looking stuff!

Both of those walnut backs are gorgeous!
When I mentioned to our son that my O-01 walnut might be moving on as a result of the VI order, he promptly moved it on to his house. Boom!!! Just like that.
That makes 2 Larrivees for him now, the O-01 and my former LV-03 RE-IAS. I'm going to try and hang on to the VI for a few years.  :rolleye:

Since there are other walnut photos being posted, hope you guys don't mind that I post a pic of a walnut 000 that I'm having built.  Just about all done.

  Hi Folks,

Jean selected the woods over the weekend. I asked him if he could go into the climate room and take a few pics to get things rolling. My brother will send me a few more photos soon as things start to happen.  I will save a file with all the original hi-res photos and anyone who wants them, in the end, can ask me. We'll do a WeTransfer or the like.  So here we go for now... selected Tops, backs, and sides  :thumbsup

Checked out his website, FB page and some of the song videos - very nice instruments, and some talented people playing them. I'd never heard of the Hupman Brothers - lotsa talent there!

I've been playing guitar a whole lot more these days in anticipation of the Forum VI. My go to is my OM-40M, and I'll also grab the Martin 000-16 for what is usually only a brief change up...the OM-40 just sounds so much better to my ears. But I do love that "other" guitar as it sounds unique enough to keep and appreciate. But it's got me hoping that the F VI has it's very own tonal qualities. Has me wondering if it'll become my new go to in the long run. I'll never go wrong with that OM-40, that's for certain.
I should also see my second F33 show up in a week or so, and there'll be that whole comparison thing to go through.

Will that be a new mandolin, used or NOS? Is Larrivee still making mandolins?

It's used, made in '08. I bought a beautiful F33 last year on Reverb and absolutely love it. I've always got my eye out for a Larrivee oval hole and I just happened to run across this one on an almost over auction. I was the only bidder. I believe Larrivee stopped making mandolins in '08 or '09. The few I've seen or heard were wonderful.

Well, I'm sitting around sort of patiently waiting.
