I posted a while ago when my 9 year old son got his new mandolin and thought I'd share this with you guys.  He played at a talent show last night with his teacher and rocked it.  Yeah, I'm a proud Papa!

Hope you enjoy these.

Good stuff!  Thanks for sharing.  My daughter tap dances.  When she was in elementary school, I would play the tuba while she tap danced in the school talent show.  Great fun and memories.

This will have to do for my applause since there is no icon for it.

Thanks everyone! We just read the posts together and he was so happy with everyone who took the time to watch and comment. He's been playing just over 2 years now and is teaching his younger brother (6 years old) a bit lately.

Thanks again for watching and making my son a happy boy ;-)

Haven't been around here much these days, but I was looking through the mando section and found this from a while ago.  I'd thought I'd update a couple of videos that we just put online.  They were taken at the monthly open mic here on Denman Island.  He's now 11 and also plays guitar.  He bought an American made telecaster about a year ago from money that he made.  I feel very fortunate as a father

Here's one more video from this past summer.  We did a 3 1/2 week bicycle trip down to Horning's Hideout just outside Portland, Oregon for the Northwest String Summit and Tai got to play up on stage.  We rode just over 1800kms and the memories and experience are priceless to us.  As Denis said, "kids are so cool".
