Good Friday Morning you all-
It is my great pleasure to inform you that we have a new Global Moderator on the Larrivee Forum.
I am delighted to announce that our highly respected and longtime forum member B0WIE has agreed to accept the mantle and assume the role as Global Moderator for us.

B0WIE regularly contributes to many topics including technical discussions on tone woods and construction materials and techniques as well as recording advise which he has freely shared with us for nearly twelve years now. He's respectful and considerate in discussions which he articulates thoughtfully and clearly.

Some of you noticed that his status had changed in the past week as "Global Moderator" appeared just below his name. Wisely, he wanted a chance to look things over and make a well-informed decision as to whether this role was a good fit for him, so he had access to the tools and responsibilities associated with the position before reaching some determination.

There are generally four primary duties mods are responsible for: Enforcing community guidelines and rules. Fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Managing user-generated content. Engaging with the community.

Fortunately for all of us, he's now onboard in that capacity and I can tell you that I couldn't be happier.

So please join me in welcoming our old friend B0WIE as our new Global Moderator to the Larrivee Forum.

   :welcome:    :thumbsup  :thumbsup

Hope you enjoy herding sheep, Bowie!  [Actually not that bad around these parts.]

Good move, thank you.
If Queeg is happy, we can all be happy.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. While this community is great and doesn't need much moderation, there's a never ending threat of spam (now powered by AI) that needs cleaning up. I'm happy to help out with that and other duties that need tending. Queequeg deserves a lot of praise as he's been the only active moderator for a while now, doing all the clean-up by himself.

Queequeg and Bowie:

Thanks to both of you for overseeing the administrative duties of the Larrivee Forum.

As a member of three different guitar forums, the Larrivee Forum is my favorite. The quality of the membership here along with the content and subject matter, coupled with the input and support from the Larrivee family keeps me coming back. These things don't happen by accident and quality moderators ensure that quality will continue.

Over the past 21 years, I've added a total of five Larrivees to the mix in my guitar room. My Forum VI (An LSV-03) was a collaboration between this forum and the Larrivee family. The knowledge I gained here made it easy to order a guitar with a moonwood spruce top, American walnut back and sides and scalloped bracing.

Keep up the good work.
