Guitar Chairs

Any advice on what to buy for a guitar chair? I usually sit on an adjustable concert piano bench to play, which is easy on the rump but hard on the back.

The SoundSeat seems to be very popular. There is a long trhead about it at Acoustic Player Magazine Forum.

There are a number of models, with both short and long backrests, and with/without footrest.

This is what I use, the "pick n glide" They sell them at Musicians Friend and Elderlys. About 300 bucks.

I find a chair without arms or a stool works fine but hey if you wanna spend money on "stuff", go ahead.

I want to come out with a line of guitar stools/chairs.   I've got my own ideas but would love to hear from you guys what you'd like and for how much.   Still in the research stage here.

That is the infamous Forum guitar that was supposed to be a righty for Jason and came thru as a lefty, much to my benefit I was able to pick it up.

I don't like that that chair has hard wood around it.  I see myself banging the guitar into it..

I have a 19.00 desk chair and a 12.00 foot rest

Those look like great seats, but my office chair without arms that I got at Office Depot works fine and cost a    whole lot less.

I'm with 60...I got a leather office chair with a tear to the arm rest for $10.00. I took off the arms, turned them upside down and put them on the opposite sides to continue supporting the back (hope that makes scene). It is a great guitar chair and a real good price.
