I 'm curious as to what this new guitar will look like .I ordered a custom OO-03 Cutaway with a sunburst finish. I have never owned a sunburst ,can anyone show me a picture of theirs? It will be the satin finish. Thanks

Larrivee is among the best when it comes to bursts. You have to spend upward of 5k to get another maker that does them as well, IMO. I really miss the smokey, almost purple~ish look of the SD60 I owned.

Agreed. I had a burst OOO-50 that I miss, as well, even though I hardly played it for some stupid reason or another.

I used to have a lot more than I had today. The OOO is up front. Of course, the woman who took the picture is long gone and she kept that sweet little parlor!  :laughin:

Sorry, you custom ordered that? Because the cutaway option is expensive!! An OO-05/3 cutaway is the guitar I would love...
Larrivee OM02, OM03BH, OM05
Larrivee P03, P03R-JCL
Northwood Studio OO adi/hog
Northwood OM engelmann/borneo-rosewood

OH man!! soo cool! thank you for sharing !! It looks like your sunburst may be a gloss finish?....Hi guitarman001 expense is not the issue right at this moment I just wanted to see some pics.

None of my three satin finish Larrivees has a sunburst finish but you may want to reach out and ask which they will be applying to your custom. My understanding is that Jean used to personally apply every sunburst finish. That's probably not the case anymore but I am confident that you will get a quality guitar. I have a one of a kind custom 12 string, a special edition maple parlor (100 guitars in the run), and a Forum VI (19 guitars in the run) and they are all keepers.

I googled "Larrivee sunburst satin finish" and it took me right to Sweetwater Guitar's web page. You may want to try that.

Ducktrapper, I liked your photo, especially the mirror in the background catching both the photographer and your back in the shot.

It was. I wish I still had it. Don't know what I was thinking.

That was taken quite a while ago. 15 years? That house, Canada, the drums, the strat, tele and three of those Larrivees are long gone now. Ah but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now!  :laughin:  :beer

Come to think of it, the L-01 at the back is not the same one I have now. So four are long gone.

Tom, do you still have the electric cutaway Larry? I foolishly sold my nice RootBeer burst one, then got another (used) with a blue finished top, then sold that one, too...

I still have both the Larrivee electrics in that picture. I've had the chance to sit in with a bass player and drummer at the little bar in Scandinavia that we frequent and get to play the amber RS-4 fairly regularly. Love that guitar. I also picked up a great pawn shop deal on a candy apple red Mexican Strat that I like quite a bit.
