Hi all, brand new member here, I just purchased a 2017, never been owned OM-03 from a dealer out of state, will receive it in a few days...can't wait! It will be my first 'hog back and sides. As a reference point, I own a 2003 Taylor 810 and a Guild F-30 R Standard. I have read nothing but tremendous reviews about the way Larrivee works with Mahogany and look forward to many finger style and flat pick adventures. Any input would be helpful!

I've had the guitar for a few days and have played it extensively; time for a review...one word, fantastic! Clarity between notes is spot on while harmonizing with each other. Strumming songs by America, ELP, Pink Floyd, etc. strikes a great balance between treble and bass strings without running over each other.

Single line flat picking some classic bluegrass pieces like Blackberry Blossom, St. Anne's Reel and Whiskey before breakfast give in control volume with a bell ringing quality that my Taylor 810 would be proud of.

Last but not least, fingerstyle playing etudes by Carcassi and Sor give the best attributes of this guitar; without repeating myself, I have a very difficult time putting it away!

Here are some pictures. FYI to Mike on the truss rod, yes there is an odd shaped wrench. The guitar was made in November 2017 according to the serial number.

Very good. I recently got an OM-03 mahogany brand new and have been very happy.
Curious, how is the truss rod access on your guitar? Is the truss rod access immediately visible behind the sound hole or rather is is invisible and accessed by sort of a weird shaped truss rod tool? The change was made in 2017 somewhere.
Just trying to place your guitar. In any case, it is a fine, fine guitar with which you be delighted over time. Play it a lot and it will reward you quite a lot.
