While the '04 OM-05 I bought July '23 was THE best sounding and THE best looking guitar I have ever owned, more importantly it introduced me firsthand to the Larrivee brand. Reading the accolades on the AGF & UMGF was one thing, but actually playing the OM literally made those accolades come alive. Unfortunately as much as I liked the OM, my shoulder didn't. So today it's on the way to a new home with a younger (76) owner  :thumb .

The "New Guard" - a wonderful 00-40MH, has been in place since June, much more shoulder friendly, resulting in significantly longer playing. While not as aesthetically impressive IMO, considering the smaller body size tonally it more than hits the mark

When my wife asked if I was sad selling the OM, told her more disappointed with my inability to play that wonderful instrument than sad, but the silver lining is its replacement. JCL makes wonderful guitars all sizes!  :nana_guitar

I hope that youngster enjoys his new OM!
Selling a guitar can be tough but, I've found that moving to a new instrument can inspires a lot of things. One of which can be longer play-time, as you mentioned. I have one really impressive guitar that is hard for me to play, and rarely gets played as a result. I keep telling myself, "You can't sell that, it's amazing!" but I wonder how much of a disservice I'm doing to myself by holding onto it, just because it's "special".

I've really been loving 00s lately.

Sorry to read about your shoulder problems,I commiserate,as I have similar issues, thankfully I find an OM ar smaller body acoustic more comfortable to play these days.
