My 18 year old son was looking to upgrade his acoustic so we went guitar shopping today.   I took him to a little shop that stocks Stonebridge/Furch guitar.  They had some really nice smaller bodies, cedar tops, rosewood back and sides..etc. but they were out of his price range.  Then the owner brought out this Blue Plus D-SW, a dread with a beautiful sitka top and black walnut back and sides.  It's got a 1 3/4" nut, satin finish back and sides and gloss top.  Someone had bought this guitar and brought it back because he needed the money so it isn't "new" but it's in beautiful condition.  I'm pretty jealous.  It's amazing.  We picked up some new strings but I'm not sure he'll be able to stop playing it long enough to change them!  Furch makes some superb instruments.

Looks and reads great.I had a stonebridge jumbo come thru the shop and well DAMN a great guitar that I can't afford.

Nice guitar.  I have owned a few over the years and have one left, a OO 12-fret slotted headstock with full sunburst and aged top.  These are superb guitars.

Played a Furch at the home of a forum member (not active) who had a bunch of really nice acoustic guitars.
Don't remember what model or body size, but it sounded really darn good and the fit and finish was outstanding ++.
Don't remember anything about the other acoustics I played that day.
I recommend anyone play a Furch if one has the chance.

The owner stocks the shop with Cordoba classicals, Eastman and Furch/Stonebridge.  It's a tiny little shop with a lot of violins, cellos and ukes too.  Lovely cramped room, instruments all over the place.  No amps in site.

My first experience with Furch was a few years back at another local shop.  It was a cedar topped dread over rosewood, with a 1 3/4" nut.  It was a fingerstyle dream guitar.   OK... now I need a cedar top guitar!

Nice guitar!  I've been enjoying looking at these online but have never seen one in person.  I follow them on IG and they post a lot of wonderful photos.
