Zachary guitars, check these out!

Hello All,

Ready for some electric guitar porn? At least that is what this site claims. I found this a while back and I thought you might be interested. Zachary (his name is Alex, but I don't think his surname is Zachary) builds stunning electric guitars. If they sound as good as they look...wow.

Zach is another Canadian builder. I think his guitars and philosophy are similar in some ways to those of Larrivee, although there are also some differences! What do y'all think? Enough to make you buy an electric?

Actually, I think those guitars are sort of fugly.  As always, YMMV.  (I like Reverends, which one of the guys at the 12th Fret described as "butt-ugly", even when they used to stock them.)

Dave, I warned you about this guy! You need to have a pretty thick skin to read his comments, and there are plenty of them on his web site. He has a real beef about all guitars that are not Zacharys, and all guitarists who do not play Zacharys.

Tycho, I know what you mean. I looked at the site 3-4 times over a couple of months before I found a couple that I really liked. They sort of grew on me. I used one as my computer wallpaper for a while, which would probably annoy Alex. I don't like the D style. (My computer wallpaper is currently the Larrivee 000 advertisement picture).

Alex is obviously a very good craftsman and what I like most is his use of beautiful woods with very little finish. Sort of like the 03 series Larrivees. But the customer service philosophy is different!

The fingerboard (or rather the lack of one) is not too practical, as it will get dirty quick, the Headstock is kind of ugly.  The rest of the guitar looks nice though, very clean look.

Man who pissed in Eli`s cornflakes? Reading his idiotic babbling made me not want to even try his guitars much less own one. I wonder how he would react if you had a problem with a guitar after the sale?, probably break it over your head. ANGER MANAGEMENT!, get some! A few guys here in Western Kentucky build guitars that look similar to those just not as strange looking. They are called Rob Wave guitars and they are totally amazing, plus they are really good guys who build awesome guitars...check them out! www.robwave.com

I'd like the Tele-style model better without the upside-down headstock, though.

Who is Eli Friedmann and why in the world would any builder have his comments appearing on his site?!  The object is to generate interest in your product and the desire to have one.  This Eli character, I'm sure, has scared potential customers away more than once.  Zach must do a great deal of referral business as I don't think he is getting much new business from his website.  Someone should review the high points of Marketing 101 with him so he could improve on website's appearance.
