000-50 nicely done

I just played a new OOO-60 at the local Larrivee shop.  The bass strings were just D-E-A-D (no, that's not a new tuning  :rolleyes:) with a muted thump sound to them.  The G nut slot was tight.  The owner fixed the slot so the string can easily get tuned.

He said that the strings (which looked shiny to me) needed replacing and that they were D'Addario's which he hates on his guitars. 

But its tough to sell a $2900 list-price guitar like that.

Speaking of 50's, I played their new OO-50 which was pretty good sounding, but too boxy for my (L-SD-JV-D) ears.  Same list price.
