Pickup for L-03
«

I am looking to get and install a pickup in my L-03. My primary purpose is so I can plug the guitar into an interface box and record directly to my computer. I have no plans to play on stage or through a PA, though I might want to plug it in at home.
I want something that will require a little modification to the guitar as possible, so anything that uses a control panel or puts knobs on the side of the guitar is out.
My initial research has identified three possibilities:
B-Band A2.2
Fishman Matrix Natural I or Natural II (not sure which is bets for the L body)
LR Baggs iBeam
Does anyone have any thoughts on which pickup to use or have suggestions for another model?

My preferance is for the Ibeam, passive for me but most like the active. The reason for the passive is I like the off board pre-amp better and there's no battery inside the guitar.

That would be my preference too, but I would not rule out a good system just because it has a battery.

If you're not going to play out, I suggest just using a microphone.

Ever try recording with a microphone in a house with two terriers?

My lab-dalmation mix just lays quietly nearby while I'm playing -_-

I wish mine would do that. There's a reason that terrier and terror share the same first four letters.

K&K Sound Pure Western mini. Check the reviews on Harmony Central. Notice the lack of negative reviews.

Love the "fall special" Dave :GRN>. You gotta admit it, he's quick!
If the super-glue thing scares you don't use it. I've used the stick-on tape glue on two guitars and they sound fatastic.
Good luck!

And, because of the newer design of the "Mini", a "Regular" is almost never recommended.
Also, you may even find a slightly better price if you shop around a little. :WNK>

Hey Dave, I couldn't find the mini on your site ... Do you carry them?
