I am going to replace light gauge strings with Medium Gauge.

How much do I have to adjust the truss rod to compensate for the increase in tension on the neck?

I didn't adjust mine at all when I switched. YMMV.

I had to adjust mine clockwise about a 1/4 turn or less when I put on mediums. It was easy though. Put the mediums on and wait a few days then measure the amount of relief it has and adjust it if needed. If not dont touch it. My preference is to have about a 10/1000" gap around the middle of the neck or less. I like only a hair of relief in the neck. Then dial in the saddle and stuff. Dont be afraid to use a guitar technician.

Thank you Little Brother and LaminateBoy for the advice.

I'll let you know the outcome in due course.

Woah, excuse my ignorance, but I thought my parlor had no truss rod.  Do I get at it from inside the body?  Not that I need to, but it'd be nice to know.

Initially I tried the guitar without adjusting the truss rod.

Harder to play than with lights.

After a 1/4 turn of the the truss rod it is easier to play.

thanks littel Bbrother for your advice.
