hell I play Guilds and I don't think that there are many forums out there for Guild fans.So If you got it Smoke it,as they say.
ive always like guilds. theyre very underrated and underappreciated guitars. for some reason, when i see someone playing a guild, i usually take notice and pay close attention.

Guilds are great for self defense. Lots of lumber in those old boxes.

I held out as long as a could, but here goes (ducking!).

I like the necks on Taylors. And their over fit and finish/attention to detail are excellent. I've played a lot of Taylors in various stores and most of the ones I've played have been a little too bright and jangly.

However there are 3 exceptions/exceptional Taylors I've played in the last year or so: a 20+ year old Grand Concert in spruce/quilted maple, an OM in spruce/brazilian and a spruce/walnut W10 Dreadnaught. The W10 is one of the prettiest sounding acoustics I've ever played.

FWIW, the W10 is for sale at a local music store should anyone be interested... :WNK>

In all fairness{Gulp,me fair}though I'm not a fan of Taylors,I use to make big fun of them,OK I still do under my breath or if no one is present. There are tons of guitars out and I agree with all who have said to each there own hell I play Guilds and I don't think that there are many forums out there for Guild fans.So If you got it Smoke it,as they say.

PS they are breathing and dancing the Gratful Dead dance....in out up down spin all around.

I acquired a used Taylor NS32ce off Ebay not long ago and I LOVE it! I'm not a big fan of their steel string guitars but this hybrid classical has a beautiful tone. It's also very comfortable to play, has perfect intonation and very well made.  The electronics sound good too.

I'm sure my positive attitude is influenced by the following facts though.  For one thing, this is a lefty, which are extremely hard to come by used.  I also got really lucky in the auction and ended up paying about half of what these sell for on the street and several hundred less than used models typically sell for on Ebay.  Getting a hard to find guitar at a great price always makes me a bigger fan. That's why I like my Larrivees so much. :WNK>

I have a 412 series special edition. It is a 422 with maple back and sides. Gorgeous and very cool sounding well aged...10 yrs old. I love it. Although it seems to get a lot of case time since I got my D60

I like both Taylors and Larrivees, but I lean more toward Taylors.  My wife is even looking at getting me a new '05 fall limited 810ce-L10 cocobolo or a nos 30th Anniversary 610 for Christmas.  I love Taylors looks, playability and sound (not all Taylors...I like neither their koa guitars or walnut guitars).

And I like Larrivees, too.  Just not quite as much.

Good guitars, all, though.

So, overpriced? Not to me . .

High Maintenance?  Wipe the strings and store them along with my other guitars, no difference there . . .

Limited this, etc.  - Yeah mine are all limited, to me . . . and that's a good thing.

Someday, you may appreciate some of the finer things in life . . .

And my Larrivée resides proudly and equally with all the rest.
