I have been wanting to learn to fingerpick 'Goodnight Irene' for awhile,
but all I have found online are the chord changes. Does anyone have
a version to share, or can you point out a site or book that has them?
Not looking for anything exotic, something I might be able to sing over
(cross-my-hear promise, not in public)

Thanks. Dan

hi there is a simple version here, lots of other good stuff to, you need to have tefview file reader to view it.

Trickie, you are the best -- I *love* the Fretted Instruments site! I'm in the Beginner category, but there is also an Advanced section, and beyond Chet Atkins. Can't tell you how many hours I wasted googling tabs on the Web before this - 90% garbage out there, just sites harvesting ad views and dispensing spyware. My wife, who is my regular audience, thanks you from the bottom of her heart.

I'll have to get up on TEFView, but with what's up there it's worth it for sure. My only question is, how am I going to get anything done the next few days? Well, the  truthful answer is that I can only stand so much of my own playing - but more songs has got to help.

Anji, Cocaine Blues, Little Martha, Make Me a Pallet, Sugar Babe - all these I have been on my list. And I just discovered 'If I Only Had A Brain' on the Advanced page - something to look forward to. And on top of all that, the Woody Woodpecker Song!

Now, if I could only start learning songs a little faster...or play a little better.
