It's supposedly German spruce... with a brazilian headstock veneer... I'm just a bit skeptical.. but it does look new.

I would be skeptical about the description of the woods used. The pictures aren't that great but it does look to be pre 1995 (old style rosette).

If you are interested I would ask the seller for the serial number so that you can talk to Brian T. and clear up any mysteries.

This is the earliest NOS guitar I've seen in a couple of years of watching. The previous earliest is a 1997 model.

Rosette identifies it as pre-1993.  I'm skeptical about "brazilian" rosewood or "German" spruce, but it looks pretty cool as NOS and nearly 15 years old.

Just curious...

Assuming that this is a NOS guitar, I wonder what Larrivee's requirements are in order for the warranty to apply to the buyer.  Can you still register it after all this time?  Does the current seller have to be an "authorized dealer"?  I would think the answer to both questions would be "yes".  Based on info from Larrivee's web site, there is only one authorized dealer in the UK and the seller doesn't appear to be him/her.

I'm sure you are right about the need to be a registered dealer. It's always the maker's call in these situations. I would contact Brian T. and get a ruling, berfore purchasing, if that is important to you.

Thanks, Ron.  Good advice.
