I had some friends for grillin', pickin' and singin' yesterday. My buddy Zot brought his new H&D D-RH. It's a deep-bodied traditional-style rosewood dread with an enlarged sound hole.

All I can say is wow!!!!! From a pure craftsmanship standpoint this has got to be one of the best guitars I've ever seen. The sound was very rich with a bit more midrange than my D-09 and also very responsive to both light and more agressive picking.  The modified V neck is very comfortable.  Overall, the H&D seems a bit more heavily built. My D-09 felt noticably lighter.

I was pleasantly suprised that my D-09 stood up very well in comparison. I understand now though, why the D-60 is so well liked. Zot A/B tested the D-60 against the H&D, he said the H&D won by a nose...
