Resonator Guitar Question

Hoping for some insights. I just acquired a new Resonator guitar. The overall fit and finish is very good. I have a question about the resonator cone. On certain notes like and open "D" there is a buzzing in the cone. Is this normal? If not, the guitar has a 30 day approval period that I'm only 2 days into. Other than the aforementioned buzzed, the guitar is real sweet...,

Thanks in advance for the sharing of your knowledge!

I'm NOT an expert, so I'll make a recommendation to go to one of the reso forums and ask there(See links below). Now, I'll tell you what I think: If the action looks all right, you probably need to tighten the screw adjustment in the center of the cone - it pressures the bottom of the cone. There should be a notch (My single cone spider bridge reso's had a split bridge with the screw access in between. Bisquit bridges may be different.) or some easy access to the screw - and you need to go in small increments, just till the buzz is gone.

Haven't had one in a few years, but I have a new one on the way!

Thanks el G,

I'll post the question at one of the links and report back. BTW, the guitar has a bisquit bridge. I'll report back. Any other thoughts appreciated fellow forumites...
