"new standard tuning" strings?

I recently ordered a set of John Pearse strings form my D-05. I got a set of 80/20 bronze Wound "new standard tuning" strings. I thought these would be similar to string's i've had in the past except i looked on the back of the package  and it lists the 1st string as a G and the 2nd as an E etc. I usually tune my guitar  E B G D A E. can i use these strings tuned that way?

New Standard Tuning is CGDAEG.  Those strings might be weird in standard tuning, especially with the low E being a .058.  I would get some other strings, or try NST.  :GRN>

i'm trying to return them I bought them online and the company says they wont take back strings but i emailed them so hopefully they will take them back. the website i ordered didn't specify that the strings are ment for a special tuning. thanks for the reply
