Hey All,

Just got my weekly spam from music123. They're currently having an acoustic guitar sale. The Epiphone AJ200S is currently going for under $180 w/free shipping. Just thought I'd give a heads up on this for those in the market for a beater solidtop dread.

This is a good guitar, I think the yamaha Their new entry level dreads are also a good "beater", fact is they are quite amazing guitars for like 200 bucks.

I must add to this here...

I had one of these, back when they were called AJ 18S.  Mine had the vintage sunburst, and was a very nice looking, easy playing guitar.  Had a nice full sound.  There are times when I wish I had it back...

Not sure why they changed the name, but I agree these would make a very nice and sharp-looking beater.

I think they're a copy of the Gibson J200. And yes, the ones at music123 have a sunburst finish.

I second the Yamaha. Their plywood guitars are really great players for almost no money. The solid top cheap Yammies are excellent value! I just bought one for my son.

Here is the link: http://www.music123.com/Epiphone-AJ200S-i136840.music.

Sorry mazereth, this isn't a copy of a J-200. Here is the Epi:

In natural:

This is a Gibson J-200:

This is closer to a J-45.

My bad! Thanks Don... Still a great deal for a solidtop beater though.

Lot of guitar for not very much at all.

Still a great deal for a solidtop beater though.
