Wow appreciate all the info on the Beatles. Glad u set me right about "I Want To Tell You", Dan.  While it is nice to be able to play in the actual key, chords, etc as the boys, some of us are beginners so easy chords are nice, as long as it sounds close. Patrick. Will definitely have tocheck out some of the resources peoplementioned.Like I really need any more Beatle's books. Patrick

That's ok glad I could help. Stick with us old geezers sometimes thru the fog we can guide you down the right path. Although 1969 was pretty foggy!! :rolleyes:.... and 1970...1971....1972.....etc.......

BTW... when I learned to play "Where Do The Children Play", the song was six months old and I still remember where I was when I learned Jim Morrison had died!

For that matter, I still remember (albeit vaguely) where I was when I learned that JFK had been shot, so I guess I really am old.

I play in two cover bands that have done various Beatles songs, and The Complete Scores  is really helpful for sorting out nagging issues when you're trying to get the cover exactly right.  I found a few things in it that I might nitpick with, but on the whole it's reliable.

(I remember bringing it to practice one time and the singer sneered, "What's that, the Bible?"  I said, "Pretty much.")

LOL... the "wha huh?" was my 50 year old fog! ;)
