Does anyone know when Larrivee adopted the use of sterling silver headstock boarders?  Having an older model without the 'jewelry', I am curious when this practice was adopted across the product line.  Perhaps the 05's, 09's and 10's adopted this at different times?  Or was this feature added during the same year?  (No offense intended to the fans of sterling details!)

How about when did the use of Tusq nuts become standard.

Hows about e-mailing Larrivee...they would know best when such things were started;

Would have had to be after 1995/96. My OM-09 was started in December of 1995, and doesn't have the sterling headstock border.

Sorry that doesn't narrow it down much. I've wondered, too. If you do find out, let us know...inquiring minds... ;)

I also think it would be cool if they did some RW, Mahog., or even BW overlay on the headstock.  that would be cool for it to match the rest of the guitar....you know, as a custom option. <_<
