For the first time in a while, no new instruments. I hate buying on a bubble. With the way things are going, I think a lot of people will be selling off the stuff the bought during the pandemic and I might pick up some new toys then.
D-09 Brazilian w/ Eagle inlay. D-02-12
Used to own and love; SD-50, J70 maple Mermaid, SD60sbt, D03R, LV03E.

I bought two electric guitars and didn't keep either one of them for more than a week each.

My new LS Forum VI with Anthem pickup, Fishman Loudbox mini, coming soon to a subway station near you.

Remember when the music came from wooden boxes strung with silver wires...

OM-40 SB
Forum VI - LS-03 Moonwood/Walnut
Seagull S6

I got a pretty nice (1924 Beuscher)  C-Melody Saxophone for my wife as an xmas present.  Does that count?

Guitar expenditures were minimal (effects, a pickup, etc.), though I was tempted a bunch of times.

Was that just this year? Seems like it was longer ago...

I'm trying to remember... I know I bought the Yamaha FG820 a few months ago. I think I may have also bought an Eastman AR403CE jazzbox - not sure.

And, of course, ordered the Larrivee Forum VI. Looks like mine won't arrive until after Jan. 1, 2022, though...  :thumbsup

Ya I think I got in March but days and months seem to run into each other as I get older.

I am pretty sure I set a personal record this past year. I bought the resophonic guitar of my dreams, a Beard Jerry Douglas Signature with the Fishman Nashville pickup and the Hipshot Doubleshot tailpiece and then I found the OM-60 of my dreams about 2 months later. Picking on cloud nine for sure.

A resophonic is something I haven't purchased/owned yet (partly because lefties aren't easy to find or affordable). My fear is that it would be like a 12-string; fun to play from time to time, but not used enough (especially since I'm not in any way a slide player).

resonatours are easy to covert to left's just change the nut. There good for  more then slide playing standard guitar playing with a different tone can be fun.
