Hi all,
A few years back, I bought a used TSB SD50 ('06) which, in my opinion, is a great instrument.  That being said, I am wondering if there is an upgrade to be had about the tuners.  I hate to say it, but they seem, look and feel...ahh...cheap.  I think they are the "ping" buttons and I've had trouble with those before.  If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I'd be appreciative.   Thanks in advance.  Allan

Here's a link to Gotoh just to get you started

https://g-gotoh.com/product/sgs510z/?lang=en

I don't have an SD so I don't know exactly where the screw is placed. Gotoh has several models with different screw placement.

I've replaced most all of my guitar tuners with 18:1 Gotohs. They work really well with no lag and the 18:1 lets you creep up on the exact note without going over.

Yeah, they're pricey but you really do get your money's worth having a guitar in tune most of the time and you can always remove them and replace the originals when it's time to sell. They also keep their resale value pretty well on Reverb.

Best of luck
