I want to know if there’s any difference between the older D 03 with the clear Pickguard versus the newer ones with the satin finish and the Pickguard
Anyone have any experience with this?

They've done minor things, like real wood binding. But, for the most part, they're the same thing. The quality control between the US and Canadian factories are comparable. The only benefit would be that one is newer and one has age (both of which have advantages).
