Looks nice. I'm a little confused at why they're calling it a "rat rod", however. I see no rust.  :laughin: :beer

Full hollow body or center block? Are those painted on F holes?

Nice guitar either way  :thumb

Flat primer like finish and the red pup covers, and it's thinner than the 5420 and a little bit lighter. That's what Gretsch said, not me.

Very nice but when I think of rat rods, these things come to mind.

Are the pickups humbucker or P90?

I'm a Gretsch fan.

Rob, they are a lower cost version of the Filtertron humbuckers.  They call them blacktop Filtertrons, but they made the plastic red for this specific rat-rod model.

Opinions vary  with them.  For me, I'm able to find plenty of tonal variety - still trying to get used to the sort of weird Gretsch wiring being mostly a single volume, single tone electric guitar player, and using pickup combinations to get different tones.
