Presently on my workbench, needing a few small repairs- (tuners, fret work, etc).

Appears to be a 2006 L-05 custom ( Quilted Mahogany) #34 of 50 made for Long & McQuade's (Canada) 50th anniversary.
Signed by Jean, and a very light guitar, I'm sure some-one around here must have one of these?

Just ordered the tuners from Larrivee Pro shop ( gold with Ivoriod buttons), and doing the other repairs as I wait for them.
Will post pics then.

Who's got one? Never had QM before.....  :guitar
"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

I have a L-09 with quilted sapele.
Does your L-5 look like this, Kevin?

wow, that's quite something, no mine is no where near that stunning - :nice guitar:

Reason I asked is because mine is listed as "L-09 QM"; not "QS".

Cool!

While waiting to see Kevin's QM here's my OO-05  or is it MQ

I'm guessing S is for Sapelli?

the specs on mine state Mahogany
Kevin, there's no S
Mine says QM not QS.
But it's sapele.
Andrew, that's beautiful!

Hey Mark can you double check what it says? Usually QM in Larrivee speak was reserved for Quilted Maple. For Quilted Mahogany it would usually say MQ. Would be odd for Larrivee to be mixing up their naming practices  (sarcasm alert)  :arrow

:roll

sorry about my misreading the "s".

Hmmm QM or MQ?

Mine actually says "Quilted Mahogany" on the label.

My label reads QMH for quilted mahogany.

I have a L-09 with quilted sapele.

I think it was a more of question of Labels rather than of woods

Sorry, I missed this post.
I've been a bit distracted of late.
My receipt dated April 2009 from Dave Schmidt at Guitar Adoptions (later of Woodstock) reads 'L-09 QM' but the label in the git says 'L-09 Custom'.

L-09 QustoM! It's Canadianese.  :cheers

!

As I mentioned, I am waiting for new tuners, so i will take a couple better pics when they arrive (this week).
For the sake of "Quilted Mahogany" and labels and such, here's a couple shots of the new (2006) guitar.

As usual, it's difficult to get  terrific flamed maple or quilted wood shots, but you get the idea....

As promised, here's a couple more pics of the latest acquisition.

Tuners arrived yesterday from Larrivee Pro Shop (thanks John!)

I had done all the other work while waiting for delivery.

It's a light and "bouncy" guitar, sparkles in tone with a lot more sustain than I expected.
As the previous owner used (and abused) the guitar a great deal- it has certainly "opened up".

Looks like a nice L.

Unfortunate that it has that Martin style pickguard on it - I've NEVER liked those on Larrivee L-bodies... (and I DO like Martins, but this is just wrong...)
