hey, sorry for the delayed response...

     i have one of these airline deals.  I bought it originally for my tele but now i use it only for my acoustics.  i like it alot. i mean a whole bunch!  it's never cut out on me (and i've been hundreds of feet away from the receiver) but it uses wierd AAA batts. and after fourteen hours they are DONE.  kaa-put.  so don't leave it plugged in or your guitar will go dead and don't leave it on because next time you pick it up the transmitter will be dead.  
     the reciever uses a 9v and will run on that forever and a day.  i still prefer to use the adapter for power just in case. you can leave the battery in the reciever for a backup in case someone kicks your adapter loose.  anyways, blahblahblah.  long story short, i think that system is sweet for the money.  dig it.
