I am new to the board, having read many threads over the last month or so. I am looking to buy my first Larrivee, and wondered if anyone could give me an opinion about the tonal differences potentially between these two models. I realize the 40 series is relatively new, but I am hoping someone has had the good fortune to play both of these. Sitka tops on both, by the way. Thanks.

I’ve had an OM-40R for about a year and I got an LS-40Z about a month ago. Not exactly what you were asking for but close. The LS has a deeper body than the OM and is much louder. I love it.

Do you notice more lower end response, based on the different body style? I realize wood species and open up time are different for your guitars, just curious.
