Hi y'all i'm a nube here, but i've owned and own larrivee. :)  per forum rules here's a few donuts to all y'all larriveetians!  :donut :donut2 :donut :donut2 :donut :donut2

Anyway, I purchased a 1995 Larrivee J-05 which had arrived damaged and now I'm having trouble getting the seller to pay for the costs of the repair.  the repair job was absolutely stunning and amazing and pictures can be found on my luthiers website here: https://www.guitarhouseworkshop.com/restoration-stories

If it ends up that I have to pay for the repairs that were performed I'd be minded to sell the guitar.

Can anybody help me with an approximate value as to what this guitar may be able to sell for?

Best Regards.

Selling yourself, such as an ebay/auction situation, you're looking at $900 to $1,200. That's just based on what I usually see on ebay (the actual selling prices, not what they're trying to get).
A store will usually be a little higher.

Thank you sir!  I supposed listing it around $1200 and accepting a little less would be appropriate.

By the way, what repair was done? That can significantly affect the value and how long it takes to sell.

Hello @BOWIE if you look at the link that I posted in the 1st post and scroll down to the second repair I think listed as "larrivee damaged in shipping".

The guitar wasn't packaged well and bumped around in transit and was cracked in the side around the waist.  the repair is flawless and unnoticeable, (the seller paid up and i have this beauty now!), and sounds absolutely stunning.

I liken this guitars huge bass to a grand piano!  I currently have a tonerite on the guitar to bring out it's full potential. :D

The reason I'm selling it?  I've just ordered some really nice guitars and my McKnight is going to be a Jumbo!  :nana_guitar
