At 6:30 EST my wife scream my name in terror.I go out in my back yard and there she is shouting at the cats to get back shouting at me to do something then.........I hear it..........then I see it a Eastern Diamond back rattler all curled and and rattling its tail and two of my cats are thinking ...Look a big toy to play with.WRONG we gather the kids put them in the house call for help and wait...well I wait keeping my eye on it till help arrive's via a county sheriff, who calls around for some help.then another sheriff come's over as my wife and son say kill it,shoot it,taz it.Me I'm thinking if they kill it how would I like to cook it and is there room in the freezer for any extra meat.About an hour latter a young couple shows up and capture it.It appeared to have eatin something and went peacefully off to live another day in the wild.Ah life's little suprise's.

Funny. My wife was sitting on the deck yesterday and a harmless garter snake crawled between her feet. She is freaked out about going out on the deck now. I can't seem to convince her that she's perfectly safe. I can't imagine what she'd be saying if it was a diamond back!

I live down the road about a mile from some swampy area's,my wife and son spotted a 3 foot gator crossing over one swampy going into another.Oh ya a live in an old 1978 development with all the steets name from comic strips ie: Snoopy lane,and other such things.

I love it.Most front of house people know how to herd cats.Though I'm fairly sure that the cats in our house are out to kill me.
