All,

My 2005 LV-05 factory tuners are shot.  The sad part is I haven't played the guitar that much in the last 7yrs due to me having to play electric a lot more.  Larrivee offered me a slight price break and free shipping on the "JCL 18:1" tuners.  Before dropping $60 is it worth it or should I be looking for something else.  I would like them to drop in and reuse the same screw holes if at all possible.

Thanks

Gotoh SGL510Z tuners are a drop in replacement and are available in 18:1 and 21:1, but they are more expensive than the JCL.  There are also Schaller tuners that will fit and someone said a Grover model will fit.  The JCL are Faradyne tuners, are well made and worth the price.

I have the JCL 18:1 tuners on my LV-10 50th. I have no desire to "upgrade" them. They are precise and smooth. And they look awesome. What more could you want?

Different buttons on my L-10,  I still can't find something I'd like to switch to, just to make it a bit different from others.

Thanks all.  Maybe I'll just go with the JCL 18:1.  They are probably a lot better than the Larrivee ones that originally came with this guitar.  Never was motivated enough to replace them.  Now that one is bad, I am.  Thanks again.
