None of these guitars were released until show day. The 00-60RM was the first to go. Matthew sold it the second the show started.

John, I noticed that most of the guitars you took had an Austrian spruce top. Was there any particular reason for that? Just curious as I have an L with that top. Thanks.

I wonder if the long in the tooth drought we have had has affected west coast spruce. Or, since he no longer does his own lumbering operation, maybe Jean just prefers the Austrian stuff. It is really, really nice.

Beautiful guitars! Shame all have the standard pickguard - would be even prettier in my eyes with the clear - market must be stating otherwise - hard to believe. Appears to be a propensity to moving to smaller guitars as well - and man the bling - over -the-top luv it!! And one last observation or mis-observation pending on ones perspective; but realizing this was a NAMM show, I don't see any satin models, didn't Larrivee at least example these in past shows? Could Larrivee be moving away from the 03 volume guitars and focusing on the higher end

Seems to me that the new bracing (relatively new) has moved the market into a smaller guitar mode. Small guitar, big sound.

Could Larrivee be moving away from the 03 volume guitars and focusing on the higher end I really doubt this, as the lower end guitars (for all companies) bring a lot of sales (and create a future customer for a higher end instrument). It's usually the lower end (price wise) guitars that keep employees busy so they can continue building the higher end guitars as well. Low end = volume sales; high end = higher profit per instrument. Guess which makes the most money for the company?

I agree... the pickguards really clashed with and distracted from the koa guitars.

If you don't have room to store the 00-60RM Romanian Maple "Torch" Austrian Moonspruce Top, I'll be happy to make room for it.

I believe that one was sold before the seats were warm.
