It's been pretty quiet around here...
have we all been bad boys 'n' girls, and therefore not getting
any new Larrivees for Christmas?

I've been looking at something I might make an offer on before the end of the year...  whistling

I was going to wait and do a NGD. But since you've asked, Mr. Mikey, yeah. I've got a brand spanking new LV-03RE coming. It'll be here Thursday (which is tomorrow).  And I'm not waiting for Christmas to open it up!!!

It's a beaut. Lots of bling for the 3 series. Almost looks like a 5 series - almost. All I have are the seller's pics. Could post one or two of those, I guess.

Good eye!!
It is, indeed. Cedar top, maple inlays, Herringbone trim, arched case, Larrivee goodness.

Sold a Martin OM16-GT to support getting a 000-28EC for Christmas but the real gift was when my wife said "you are not considering selling your Larrivée are you? You would regret it". Man she really knows me.

This is the first year in a while that I'm not getting a guitar for Christmas. I'm actually just really happy with what I have right now. No itch at all.

My youngest daughter fell in love with Cordoba Mini one day when we visited the GC in Tampa, FL.

It arrived yesterday. I let it acclimate in the box. Opened it last night and tuned it up. Put it away. Wrapped it up for her for Christmas.

Neat little (and I mean little!) guitar.

I am looking to either trade or sell my L-03 Custom with 11/16 nut and 40 style neck and headstock with open backed grover tuners. I am looking for a OMV-R. My local dealer has one in stock. I will either end up with that one or if anyone is looking to trade...

Well, I did it...

...this one

I'll tell you the story about it after it arrives next week. And ignore the price that's listed...that's not what I paid for it.  rolleye

Not considering but if a used cedar top comes up ... I may have to reconsider. I am too old to wait for a new guitar to open up.

I bought my wife a Forum II, used, in nice shape.
the OM is the preferred shape around here (I buy them for her, she lets me play them), and the 12 fret neck join is something we don't have either.....

Looks like it's in it's country of origin ( Canada) after being held up for CITES documentation.

Now it has to go through Customs.

I doubt it will make it for Christmas, which is fine for me.

I don't want Santa to bring it down the chimney after that sleigh ride anyways.  whistling

Those Forum II's are nice guitars - and there weren't very many of them, right? (I believe the Forum I and Forum II were the same model - just two different runs?)

Well I did it. I'm actually in a little bit of shock, but it's motivation to get serious. Ordered an L-09 on Saturday. It's waaayyy more guitar than I deserve, but I look at it as every bit as much a piece of art as well as a musical instrument, so I justified it that way. Pics possible in 8-12 weeks!  Thanks for being here everybody. I'm Chris.
