Like others around here, I look around various sites to see what's out there in cool guitars. ( especially larrivee's).

I found this listing recently, and I am curious as to it's legitimacy.

they seller said the body is one inch thinner than regular Larrivee guitars.

I've never heard of a "thin line" model, and I wasn't aware the folks in Oxnard did "one off's".

I'm hoping I'm not breaking any rules for posting the listing, but just curious about the guitar, and the model.

Can you find out the serial number?  I believe this one has been listed for a long time?  It is likely a "one off" custom model, which Larrivee will certainly accommodate within certain limitations for any given model line.  You just have to ask.  My experience with thin bodies is that although they are comfortable to play strapped/standing, they generally do not have the same tonal characteristics of a full body acoustic.  Amplified on the other hand it likely makes little difference...

No mention of the body depth anywhere. It has two strap pin/pickup jacks on the bottom and what appears to be a hole in the fretboard between 3rd and 4th frets. I wonder if Ed is close enough to have a look. Otherwise nice looking Larrivee.

Thats what I thought when I was looking at that guitar about a month ago. I might have gone further with my inquiries, but the lack of binding put me off.

A search for "thin line" produced THIS THREAD from a year or so ago.

I think there's maple binding on it. Hard to see...

That looks like a normal 4.25" depth OMV to me.

The seller told me it was 3.25”.  I was very interested up until that point.

Oh well!
