best ever guitar!
Was with Danial Lanois last night and the night before.
he plays an old Gold Top les paul, similar to what I once owned.
 P'90's with Bigbsy.

My Larrivee gold top is so much better than the other brand ( despite vintage status etc).

So is it the white or is it the plastic you are not a fan of?

Those covers are actually gold plated metal covers, but I had jean shoot that colour on them to make them look white plastic (vintage 1953)

Hey Headsup,

Did you put the Bigbsy on?  Could you order them that way?

I like the soap bar covers that are cream.

Yep, Gold tops and P90s just seem to go together.  nice guitar

Hi George,
that guitar has a bit of history.
I bought it from GC in Oxnard (online).
There was a problem with the transaction and I freaked, so i called the Larrivee folks for help.

Matt answered the call, I explained what was going on.
He said he knew the guitar very well, an employee made it for himself, and there was only 2 made.
I got it just as you see it.
It's my main gigging guitar when I'm a "hired gun".

here's a pic of an early Matt RS4 (jan/04) with an eighties Jean RS4.
both have some serious flame maple going on (difficult to catch in pics)

I know where there's a brand new, old gold top RS4 hanging on the wall for sale. Wish I had the dough. But then I already have an amber one. Best color, in my humble opinion.   whistling

Could it be Matt RS4 (Jan/08) instead

Are you sure that "Matt RS4" is from 04? I didn't think they started making this new series until around '08 or '09? Forgive me if I'm wrong on this...

Um, ya, that is the precise date Jan 30 2008.
The introduced those guitars apparently in "early 2008".
so this was once your guitar then?
 cool!

No, i’m not the owner, I have a rs4 lefty and mine has 30/01/2008 as productiondate, #100112. I think somewhere in the past i’ve looked up the serialnumber of your guitar and remembered she had the same productiondate.
