Last night's show was great!  Even though the Pabst Theater is small, I still wish I would have brought small pair of binoculars. We were in the first balcony. The sound was very good. Tommy's Larrivee was the highlight of the show for me. It sounded so warm and lush. He told the story of it and then proceeded to play 3 incredible pieces on it. Awesome.

David Grisman is an incredibly talented musician and composer. And Tommy goes without saying. The man is amazing. David played a 1922 Lloyd Loar Gibson Mandolin and Tommy played David's 1933 Martin OM-45? most of the evening. They both sounded great.

Thanks for the great show Tommy and David!

Cool, I'd like to see that show. Two excellent players.

I saw them Wednesday night Nov 08 in Ann Arbor with our own Tuba Mike.
Seeing and hearing these two on the same stage at the same time is a rather remarkable entertainment event.
Almost three hours, which included a pretty good opening act (Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley) who were back on stage to play with the masters near the end of the show.

Small venues are always best, IMHO. And the shows I enjoy don't play arenas or ballparks.

I had a tape of them, really good stuff. Tapes are all rotting away in boxes, in storage. I'll look for a cd at half price books. Some good deals there.
