Ok, they reeled me in on this one.  The Stupid Deal of the Day is an Alvarez Baritone for $299

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid

(about 10 hours left as of this posting)

Solid Spruce top.
Shade Burst
LR Baggs electronics.

A lot of times my wife ends up Capo-VII so I have been thinking about a baritone anyway. As I figure I can play behind her without completely transposing into a different key.

Will have pics in a couple weeks when it shows up.  Now where am I going to put it though....?

When I ran out of room I started investing in double-decker steel wire shelving units.  They really solved the problem...

Good luck with the Baritone, I would still like to have one.  I had one built one time, but the builder really messed up the scale length, I could never get it to fret in tune past the first fret so I exchanged the neck and made it into a long scale guitar that I still have...

Scale length on this one is  27-23/32 inches.

That should be fine for either C to C or B to B tuning.
