Kind of slow on the forum, so here goes. I was calling on a client in Palo Alto near Gryphon Instruments today and after my call, I stopped in to strum a few.
They always have a number of high end used guitars. I played a 2016 Santa Cruz DPW ($4750), a D28 1937 Authentic ($3750), vintage 1944 Martin 000-18 ($5800),
a 2004 Collings D2HG ($3200) , a 2008 Goodall Rosewood Grand Concert ($4100) a Bourgeois, and a few others I can't remember. The DPW was remarkably un-remarkable.
In fact, the only one that really stood out was the Goodall. I have a Goodall Standard, and he really makes great guitars. Other than that, there was nothing that
impressed me more than my JCL 40th and D10. Guess that's a good thing.
