Sent the serial number off to Larrivee. It is an L-42 model built in the winter of 1981.

You won the lottery on this one - gorgeous older Larrivee in great shape - I'm jealous - because I recently found a '79 L-19 (6 string L body like yours) that sounds phenomenal. A 12-er would complete the set.
