I am deeply saddened to read this news.
A huge loss for the music world.
One of the smartest guys in the art form IMHO.

Steely Dan was the soundtrack of my life in my 30's. Those songs have never aged for me . . .

Was so shocked to hear this, but according to lots of reports he's been missing some of their recent tour because of health problems.

Great player - great writer.  He and Fagen were a team that equalled more than the sum of their parts.

Never a fan, but I hate to hear anyone died...  especially when they are only a few years older than me.  I don't need any reminders that "it" is sneaking up on all of us.
